It was a season to remember for the Judah junior high volleyball teams. Both the seventh- and eighth-grade teams brought home a regional title. These extraordinary accomplishments are a shining example of teamwork, perseverance, and a positive team atmosphere coming together at just the right time.

For the seventh-grade team, the postseason wins were especially meaningful. Their championship match marked a historic win. This was the first regional title that the Judah seventh-grade volleyball team has ever secured, making their 2025 volleyball season incredibly special not only for the players and coaches but also for the whole Judah community.

Judah student-athlete Olivia Desy said that the excitement and joy of the moment is something that she will always remember. She spoke of the close teamwork and dedicated effort that every player had to put into the game to bring home the victory. “It was a lot of fun to be surrounded by all of your teammates and to know that everyone worked really, really hard,” she said.

The eighth-grade team followed up with an equally thrilling performance in their regional tournament. With strong leadership and the drive to finish on a high note, they battled their way through to secure their own championship title. It was a proud and emotional moment that showed just how far the program has come.

The regional games weren’t the only challenging moments of the volleyball season. As eighth-grader Lydia Daily explained, during the game against St. Joseph, “Our first set was not very good, but we hyped each other up and ended up winning the game.” This ability to stay positive and keep the momentum going was a vital component of the team’s success and ended up helping them win not only the game but also later win the regional championship.

This impact was felt not only by the players but also by the coaches. Nikkole Parsons, who coaches both the seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball teams, said, “The overall confidence of the team was so much stronger by the end of the season.” This confidence and determination to compete reflected the goal that Coach Parsons said the team kept in mind throughout the season: “The mindset during the season was to play our game and give 100 percent during each game, no matter who was playing.”

These wins and a positive mindset will help build on the growing success of Judah Christian volleyball as a whole. In 2024, the high school volleyball team earned its first-ever regional title, and now in 2025, the junior high teams are carrying the torch forward.

There’s a real sense that something special is happening in this program — and that it’s happening from the ground up. These volleyball accomplishments speak volumes, not just about athletic success but also about determination, community, and rising expectations. The future looks bright for Judah volleyball because the foundation is stronger than ever.

Coach Nikkole Parsons said that the future of Judah volleyball is very important to her and that, with this win, the program will continue to grow. She said, “I hope the culture and support around Judah athletics will become a priority. Hopefully, we will eventually be thought of as the team to beat!”

With plaques now hanging in the hallway and memories that will last a lifetime, the 2025 Judah junior high volleyball season will be remembered as more than just a winning one. It’s the season that proved that Judah Christian School volleyball is on the rise — and that it’s only just getting started.
