Statement of Responsibility
by Pat Clark
As the Life Curriculum Coordinator my responsibility is to educate students about healthy sexuality and relationships according to God’s design by:
- Presenting information that is relevant and accurate, distinguishing between the world’s view and God’s view.
- Creating honest, open discussions that build trust and encourage students to ask questions and discuss concerns. (I am not a counselor. I will guide and encourage students to seek answers to their concerns through prayer, reading Scripture, talking with parents and other trusted adults, and developing accountability.)
- Not meeting with students individually because of the sensitive nature of the topics discussed. If a student desires confidentiality in a discussion, I will not promise to abide by that. In fact, I will tell the student that legally I must report anything that he or she tells me if it is illegal or hurtful to the student or someone else.
- Talking with the administrative staff and/or the student’s parents when I become concerned about a student’s attitude or behavior.
You will find more information about the Life Curriculum and related topics on this website. You are also welcome to contact me with any additional questions and concerns you may have.
The Life Curriculum is being developed as it is being implemented. Please be patient with me and the entire Judah staff as we work through what is best for students. I appreciate your support.
